What we do

CCE Research Alliance is the most diverse research charity in the world. We work with professionals located anywhere in the world and support epidemiological research globally and locally, that will benefit future generations.

Our main objectives can be described as:

Advancing knowledge – to support research to increase understanding of external risk factors leading to childhood cancers
- Continuous data feed into our population based database, named Warrior.
- Giving research grants to ensure that the research continues. See Funding for details.
Using knowledge – to support the use of knowledge to create research benefit, ultimately leading to prevention of childhood cancers
- Investment in technology to facilitate knowledge share and global access to Warrior.
- Publish related articles online.

The risk of childhood cancer has been inconsistently linked with parental exposure to occupational agents, partly because of poor exposure assessment. Interview data from the UK Childhood Cancer Study, an epidemiological case control study, was used to extend previous analyses of parental occupations.
